Sharon Stannislaus, PA-C

Physician Assistant located in Pomona, CA & Arcadia, CA

About Stannislaus

Sharon Stannislaus is a board certified Physician Assistant. She has been passionate about medicine, particularly neuroscience, from a young age after seeing her grandma experience two strokes. Along her journey to becoming a PA, she worked in research, studying neurodegenerative diseases, and was an EMT.

Sharon obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, San Diego with a major in Physiology & Neuroscience and minor in Psychology. She continued her education in New York and obtained her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Le Moyne College. The foundation of the Le Moyne PA program is the Jesuit concept of cura personalis, which translates as “care of the whole person.” The program is built around the biopsychosocial approach which considers biological, psychological, and social factors and their complex interactions in understanding health, illness, and health care delivery. Sharon strives to utilize her training and prior experiences to treat the whole person and provide individualized and compassionate care.

She returned to her hometown in the Inland Empire and joined the respected team of providers at INI. Neurosurgery fascinates her with the delicate and intricate skills required to probe and heal such a vital part of the human body. Sharon practices in collaboration with Dr. Young to provide compassionate, high quality, patient centered care. She enjoys building rapport with her patients and being part of their care from start to finish - from initial evaluation, to assisting in the operating room, to post-operative follow up care.

In her free time, Sharon enjoys playing basketball, hiking, and spending time with her family, friends, and dogs.
