Follow up to my previous feedback. Again, My wife and I absolutely love Dr. Amirnovin and have the utmost confidence in his abilities as my neurologist and neurosurgeon!! I am very happy with my treatment plan that he has outlined. However, I have been continuously denied for my lower back surgery and continue to suffer with imbalance, extreme pain, numbness and tingling throughout my right side of my body. I have lost major muscle definition and only seem to get worse. Again, I know that the Worker’s Comp. process is extremely frustrating and daunting. However the office staff lacks professionalism, often being rude and impatient when I’m trying to explain how the request for pre-approvals need to be submitted per my attorney and other doctors who have had success. When I receive copies of the denials it appears that the requests are just being copied and pasted and resubmitted over and over again resulting in the same denial! This is absolutely unacceptable!! To this day my lower back surgery Dr. AmirNovin has in my treatment plan has not been approved. These denials have caused me severe stress and anxiety and I have recently been experiencing severe syncope episodes that have been diagnosed.

I have the utmost confidence as Dr. Amirnovin as my neurologist and his surgical abilities and techniques. However, I cannot say the same for the office staff. I know the workers comp process is extremely tedious and daunting as I have experienced it for over six years now. Unfortunately, the office staff lacks follow-through and proper care when writing up my request for therapy and surgical approvals. Causing them to consistently be denied. As an example, I was denied hydrotherapy when written up by Dr. Amirnovin’s staff, but only weeks later when my pain management doctor put in for it appropriately, it was approved! The staff is often rude and unapproachable, not listening when I try explain how my preapprovals need to be submitted in order for them to be approved. Again, I know the process is frustrating, but imagine how I feel being the patient who is suffering in constant pain

I had my very first surgery due to a severe lumbar stenosis. Being admitted, pre-surgery, surgery, post surgery went very well. I'm very pleased with the medical staff and physical therapy. Medical staff really wants what is best for their patient. I must say this was a very good experience and I'm so glad my pcp referred me here to Dr. Ramin AmirNovin at Casa Colina Hospital.

Dr. Amirnovin and his staff are through and take the time to address all my concerns and issues. Dr. Amirnovin is very conservative and not in a rush to do surgery and for that I am grateful. An issue I experienced with my back that I thought I was going to have to have additional surgery, Dr. Amirnovin recommended I hold off on the surgery and wait two months and see if it did not respond to rest and physical therapy. He was right and I am now back to 90% of my normal activities. I recommend Dr. Amirnovin to anyone with back or neck issues.

Dr Amirnovin is honest, truthful and is a really nice Dr. My mom had surgery on her neck in July 2022 and she unexpectedly have 4 strokes during the surgery. She's at about 80% now and Dr Amirnovin is always so awesome when we go to her visits.

1. The office staff is totally on point; very professional, efficient and helpful. They always return calls promptly and are quick to respond to every question or concern you may have.
2. Dr Gibani is kind, courteous, thorough and patient. I was so nervous about my back procedure. But, he assured me that all was going to be fine and he was absolutely right.

Dr Gibani was my surgeon for my back surgery.He explained everything to me so I could understand just what he was going to do in my surgery.He was very patient with me and after my surgery he came to see me every day.He is a great doctor.

I am very happy with Dr. Amirnovin, however after the surgery I was given flexural (sp.) which gave me terrible hallucinations. As a result, I hope my unplanned physical activity did not damage the surgery.
On the positive side, the pain that was going down my legs prior to the surgery has gone away. However, the pain in my lower back has gotten worse. I cannot stand in one place for any length of time without experiencing severe pain in my lower back. Also, when I get up in the morning, the pain is so bad that I can barely walk.
I have an appointment with Dr. Amirnovin on Monday the 12th of September. I have a CD of the Xrays that were taken late last week for him to review. I hope that he will be able to recommend what can be done to lessen and eventually eliminate the pain.
